El 30 de abril de 2026, Spotify lanz\u00f3 \u201cVerified by Spotify\u201d, un badge <\/em>verde que distingue a artistas humanos del contenido generado por inteligencia artificial. La medida llega en un momento en que las plataformas de streaming han visto crecer exponencialmente la m\u00fasica hecha por IA: canciones completas, \u00e1lbumes enteros y hasta perfiles falsos que imitan a artistas establecidos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El problema no es solo est\u00e9tico. Cuando miles de tracks<\/em> generados algor\u00edtmicamente compiten por reproducciones, los royalties se diluyen y los m\u00fasicos reales ven caer sus ingresos. Para artistas independientes, que ya operan con m\u00e1rgenes ajustados, el impacto es directo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo funciona el badge?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El sello verde se otorga a perfiles que cumplen tres criterios principales: actividad e interacci\u00f3n consistente de oyentes en el tiempo, cumplimiento de las pol\u00edticas de la plataforma, y se\u00f1ales de un artista real detr\u00e1s del perfil.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estas se\u00f1ales incluyen fechas de conciertos, merchandising y cuentas de redes sociales vinculadas. Es un test que ning\u00fan proyecto puramente de IA puede pasar f\u00e1cilmente<\/strong>: no hay tour, no hay camisetas oficiales de un artista cuyo rostro es renderizado, y no hay Instagram personal con contenido coherente m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de drops de canciones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A diferencia del antiguo sistema \u2014que solo confirmaba que el artista gestionaba su perfil\u2014, este nuevo badge excluye expl\u00edcitamente a perfiles cuyo contenido es principalmente generado por IA. El proceso de verificaci\u00f3n es autom\u00e1tico y gratuito: no hay un bot\u00f3n para solicitarlo, sino que Spotify revisa y asigna el sello de forma continua.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un dato que da dimensi\u00f3n al asunto: al momento del lanzamiento, m\u00e1s del 99% de los artistas que los oyentes buscan activamente ya estaban verificados o lo estar\u00e1n en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas, representando cientos de miles de artistas, la mayor\u00eda independientes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que esto significa para los m\u00fasicos<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El badge verde se convertir\u00e1 r\u00e1pidamente en un factor de confianza para los oyentes y, sobre todo, para los algoritmos editoriales de la plataforma. Esto significa que un artista humano verificado podr\u00eda publicar piezas que incorporen IA en su producci\u00f3n, y el perfil seguir\u00e1 garantizando que detr\u00e1s de esa cuenta hay una persona real. Las zonas grises<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No todo es simple. Spotify ha dejado expl\u00edcitamente fuera del badge a la m\u00fasica dise\u00f1ada para escucha pasiva o de fondo: los famosos \u201clo-fi beats to study to\u201d, playlists de piano relajante o ambient para concentraci\u00f3n no califican porque, seg\u00fan la plataforma, no generan \u201cactive fan interest\u201d ni constituyen contribuciones notables a la cultura musical.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
